Lessons of crop production: aralia

Due to its unpretentiousness, some species of these plants can live in the street if the climate is warm enough. They will serve as a good decoration of terraces and patios.

When buying aralia, pay attention to the glossiness and color saturation of the leaves. Withered leaves of irregular shape are the reason for refusing to purchase. Domestic aralia grow to a meter or higher, depending on the variety.

If you plan to land aralia in the garden, pre-acclimatize. For two or three days, put the plant in the pot on the street. Only after this, transplant into the open ground. Street plants grow to two meters in height.

Flowering is possible on the street or in the greenhouse and only in some varieties. Aralia Japanese gives white flowers without a smell in autumn or early winter.

Aralia, as a rule, does not need bright light and it feels good in shaded places. Some varieties prefer bright, but not direct light.

Watering the plant is necessary at least twice a week in the summer and no more than once a week – in winter. Soil should not dry out. Spray the plant with soft water. Feed the plant in two weeks in a liquid form during the growth period.

The ideal temperature for aralia is 10-18 ° C. It is important to choose well ventilated areas, as most aralia loves fresh air.
